Hi! I’m John Gilbert and I welcome you to my blog. I am 36 years old and I live in NY, United States.

I started this Southborohealth.com to motivate others to lead a healthy life. Your fitness and health are completely up to you, now it’s your time to make a serious change! Thankfully you’ve stumbled across my blog; things are going to get so much easier for you now!

My history

I was diagnosed Bulimia Nervosa during my mid 20s.

What is Bulimia Nervosa?

This eating disorder is characterized by repeated binge eating followed by behaviors that compensate for the overeating, such as forced vomiting, excessive exercise, or extreme use of laxatives or diuretics. Men and women who suffer from Bulimia may fear weight gain and feel severely unhappy with their body size and shape. The binge-eating and purging cycle is typically done in secret, creating feelings of shame, guilt, and lack of control. Bulimia can have injuring effects, such as gastrointestinal problems, severe hydration, and heart difficulties resulting from an electrolyte imbalance.

After going through extensive treatment and psychological therapy, I was finally cured. And then I made a promise to myself about always maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Once I started, it turned to an obsession and I’ve witnessed amazing results.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is hard, I started this blog to motivate my followers and myself from time to time to help me stay focused.

Good health to me

Practicing good health is not a one-step or single-action process. There are many components of health, including spiritual, emotional, physical and mental health. The practices of good health vary for each individual but include physical activity, healthy eating, social interaction and support from others. The importance of practicing good health shows in every part of your life, from your relationships to your mental and physical condition.

In today’s fast-paced world, healthy eating can be a challenge for anyone trying to practice good health. A healthy diet includes a variety of foods from all the food groups in the right amounts for your sex, age, weight and other considerations such as whether you are pregnant or have a health condition such as diabetes. By working with a nutritionist or your physician, you can create a plan for healthy eating that meets your nutritional requirements and fits into your budget and lifestyle. Eating healthy supports all of your body’s activities, from your ability to fight off illnesses to your ability to make decisions and learn.
